15 Things In Harry Potter That Don't Make Sense
1. The Time Turner
In movies, the use of time travel is always risky. There are so many ways a story can unravel when venturing into the past, so many questions that will inevitably raise themselves, and the writers more so than ever have to make sure their story is absolutely water tight.
In Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermione is gifted a time turner that is eventually used to stop Buckbeak from being killed, and allow Sirius Black to escape on the back of Hagrid's Hippogriff. The big problem with the time turner is, similarly to Felix Felicis, it is far too powerful an object.
Surely, every time something went awry in one of Harry, Ron, and Hermione's plans, they could use the time turner to fix it? Harry could go back and stop Cedric from getting killed, or go even further into the past and protect his parents. Get them out of Voldemort's way, or somehow prevent Pettigrew from becoming their secret keeper.
This is an incredibly powerful weapon that could help the good guys prevail over the dark wizards in a thousand different ways, but what does Professor McGonagall give it Hermione for? To keep on top of her homework. Priorities are in desperate need of revision at this point.
