Anchorman is a film oozing with class and culture, whether it be the sharp-dressed news anchors that love a good scotch or the historical meaning behind the name San Diego, which of course is German for a whale’s vagina, there’s something that everyone can learn from the movie.
Also, for those familiar with other languages, there’s a little treat on the sign outside the Mexican restaurant, which Veronica Corningstone visits with some of her female co-workers.
Following her fight with Ron Burgundy on set, Veronica and the girls go on a night out and it’s here that she learns that Ron will read anything that is typed out on the teleprompter.
However, a quick shot outside the restaurant reveals a sign that reads ‘Escupimos en su Alimento’, which when translated into English means ‘We spit in your food’. Nice
