Pixar are a company known for being loyal to their employees, with a lot of it’s core staff having come up in the industry together after meeting at university.

They are also loyal to the voice actors they use, with almost all of the voice actors for the Toy Story characters used across all four films.

The few exceptions to this fact include the original man behind the voice of Slinky, Jim Varney, who was replaced by his close friend Blake Clark after passing away from lung cancer in 2000 at the age of 50.

Also, Don Rickles, the voice of Mr. Potato Head, died in 2017 before he was able to record any lines for Toy Story 4. Instead of finding another voice actor, the Pixar team used archive footage from previous movies to create Mr. Potato Head’s dialogue in the film.
