15 Unbelievably Hideous Horror Movie Sequels

4. Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers

Even in such an inconsistent franchise that includes Halloween 5, the aforementioned Halloween II (2009) and the horrors of Halloween: Resurrection (the one with Busta Rhymes karate kicking Michael out of a window), The Curse of Michael Myers is still the series nadir.

It has Donald Pleasance, in his last film appearance, doing his typically excellent work as Loomis and the always lovable Paul Rudd makes quite a good feature film debut here, but other than that this is an unmitigated disaster.

Jamie Lloyd is unceremoniously killed off early on, the film looks incredibly amateurish, it's never, ever scary, the script is devoid of any weight and the less said about the Cult of Thorn, the film's laughable explanation for Michael's evil, the better.

Thankfully, this ghastly horror film has been retconned since the recent Halloween film ignored all the sequels. Therefore, it'll hopefully be quietly forgotten.
