15 Upcoming Films That Could Score 0% On RottenTomatoes
2. Friday The 13th
The Pitch: The second attempt to reboot the classic Friday the 13th horror franchise, and though Paramount initially considered making it as a 3D found footage film, fan outrage caused them to defer to a more conventional take. Beyond that, practically nothing is known about the plot. Why It Could Score 0%: The 2009 remake didn't exactly endear critics (it scored just 25%), so why would anyone expect another wildly unnecessary retread to do any better? If the movie takes the predictable approach of just rehashing the same core premise once again, critics are going to be mad as hell, and will likely give it even worse reviews than the infamous eighth Friday the 13th movie, Jason Takes Manhattan (which somehow still scored 9%). Plus, with a release date less than 9 months away and without any hint at a start date for shooting, this could result in a rushed mess of a final product, especially as a delay would mean the movie probably wouldn't come out until January 2017 (the time of the next Friday the 13th). In honesty, the found footage approach, radical though it is, at least would've brought something different to the table. Release Date: May 13, 2016 (US & UK)
