11. Sarah Paulson Is A Power-Stealing Supervillain - Glass

The Rumour: We all know how M. Night Shyamalan loves a twist, so many fans are already trying to figure out the big reveal in his upcoming superhero thriller.

The most persuasive fan theory so far suggests that Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson), the psychiatrist treating Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) and David Dunn (Bruce Willis), will in fact turn out to be a supervillain who wants to steal their collective powers for herself.

It's not so much that it's an inherently awful idea, just that it's pretty unimaginative, with countless superhero movies hurling similar bait-and-switch villain reveals at audiences over the years.

How Likely Is It?: Shyamalan has learned to tone down his reliance on outlandish twists in recent years, so this is actually pretty believable in its simplicity, especially as Glass and Crumb teaming up against Dunn seems a little basic on its own.

Strong execution can certainly overcome predictability in the end, so hopefully if that's the case Shyamalan's got something interesting up his sleeve at least.
