15 Upcoming Movie Rumours We Hope Aren't True

The Rumour: When a good chunk of The Avengers - not to mention half of the universe - were turned to dust at the end of Infinity War, they weren't actually wiped out of existence, but were in fact sent to Soul World, the orange-tinted pocket dimension briefly glimpsed after Thanos (Josh Brolin) performed the snap.

How Likely Is It?: The main problem with this theory is that it undoes a lot of the horror of Infinity War's ending. Though we all know the Avengers will be resurrected by the end of Avengers 4, knowing they were mercilessly wiped off the map is far more terrifying than them simply being spirited away to some magic realm.

Avengers 4's screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have deemed the deaths real, and added, “[Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does...It is a different movie than you think it is."

That's an understandably vague comment, and the pair certainly have a vested interest in keeping audiences confused right up until the movie's release, but it sounds like they're confident in the snap-related deaths retaining their meaning and gravity.

Given that Avengers 4 seems to revolve heavily around the notion of time travel, it doesn't seem probable that the "dusted" Avengers are just hanging out in some orange oasis in the meantime.
