15 Upcoming Movies That Are Already Doomed (And Why)

Why It's Doomed: Ridley Scott's upcoming crime thriller only finished shooting in August, but was rushed through post-production in order to meet the year-end awards deadline.
However, the dramatisation of John Paul Getty III's 1973 kidnapping has hit one major roadblock: the recent sexual harassment accusations levelled against one of its stars, Kevin Spacey.
Compounding the fact that Scott is an incredibly inconsistent filmmaker and a rushed production rarely works for the better, Spacey's damning quasi-admission of the accusations has effectively torpedoed a lot of interest in the film before it even releases.
It's a shame for the film's lead cast members Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg, but it's safe to say that Spacey and the movie itself will probably come and go rather quietly this awards season, regardless of how the reviews actually pan out.
