Why It Should Suck: It would be totally ridiculous and childish to claim that Toy Story 4 is going to flat-out suck, but relative to the brilliance of its three predecessors? It could end up being a woeful disappointment.

Toy Story 3 brought the franchise to such a richly satisfying close that it feels massively misguided to dig these beloved characters up for a fourth go-around, which seems unavoidably motivated by a cynical desire to print money above all else.

Plus, with Rashida Jones and Will McCormack's original script being scrapped during production and Josh Cooley making his feature directorial debut on the project after John Lasseter stepped down, it's clear things aren't exactly running smoothly.

Why It Might Be Awesome: Given that Pixar has already knocked out two stunning Toy Story sequels, the odds are actually in their favour to deliver a worthy follow-up.

After all, a lot of fans initially felt that Toy Story 3 was going to be a perfunctory sequel, and look how that turned out. As reasonable as it is not to expect another sequel as heartbreakingly brilliant as Toy Story 3, there's still a strong chance it's a mighty follow-up and far away from being another Cars 2.
