1. Ben Mendelsohn - Robin Hood

The Role: The tyrannical Sheriff of Nottingham, who of course attempts to capture the rogue Robin Hood (Taron Egerton) and his band of merry men.

Why He'll Be Wasted: Mendelsohn is one of the fastest-rising character actors of the last five years, but it's hard to be much optimistic about him or really anyone else in this movie actually getting their due, considering that it's yet another Robin Hood reinvention nobody bothered to asked for.

Don't be shocked if Mendelsohn pulls a Jude Law in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and just hams it up for the cheap seats, but doesn't actually have any particularly compelling material to sink his teeth into.
