2. Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga's A Star Is Born Remake

After Clint Eastwood's planned Beyonce-starring remake of the classic 1937 romantic drama fell apart and countless other actors turned the male lead role down (from Leonardo DiCaprio to Johnny Depp), it seemed like the film was destined to never happen.

Then Bradley Cooper became attached as a director in 2015, and Lady Gaga was finally cast as the female lead in 2016, before shooting began in April of this year.

Is it a movie that many are clambering to be remade? Not especially, but at least it's got two major talents in the mix, not to mention a supporting cast including Sam Elliott, Dave Chappelle and Andrew Dice Clay, so it has a solid enough chance to be at least decent if not better.

Still, with Gaga's involvement and the size of her fanbase, it's surprising more hasn't been made of this already. Expect a huge awards push this time next year regardless.
