Michele Soavi's Cemetery Man was, arguably, the last great Italian horror film. Based on the popular Italian comic Dylan Dog, Cemetery Man is about a cemetery caretaker who looks for love while protecting the grounds from 'The Returners' (zombies). The film has a dreamlike atmosphere and changes tone throughout, shifting from comedy to horror to revenge film to romance. The film is stuffed with beautiful, striking imagery and is unlike any other film out there. The sight of Rupert Everett casually blowing off a zombie's head before going back to drinking wine and reading does not get less weird, regardless of how many times you watch it. Also known as Dellamorte Dellamore, it is a wonderfully quirky film.
