15 Worst Horror Films Of The 21st Century (So Far)

1. Birdemic: Shock And Terror

Birdemic has become famous for its terrible special effects, with birds just float there like a gif you'd see on an early 2000s webpage. Even though that's what the movie is known for, there isn't even a single bird attack for roughly 50 minutes. Instead, viewers are treated to the love story between Rod and Natalie, and this is where the awfulness of the film really shines; Rod appears to either be a serial killer or an alien struggling to understand how humans interact. Yes, the acting is that bad. In one of the film's many inexplicable moments, the couple dances at a club, but apparently they couldn't film inside a real building, as the background is completely green screened. Birdemic is chock full of weird sequences like that, and if you even count it as a movie, this is the worst horror film made in the 21st century by far. It's hard to imagine that will change anytime soon. There are lousy films like Plan 9 From Outer Space and The Room, but those at least have some degree of technical competency to them. In Birdemic, you can't even hear what the characters are saying half the time. Everything about this production is completely botched, yet it's to the point where it's the most enjoyable "so bad it's good" movie you'll ever experience. Have you seen any of these awful movies? Did we miss any other atrocities? Let us know down in the comments.
