15 Worst MCU Villains (So Far)
4. Yellowjacket - Ant-Man
Yellowjacket is pretty much the quintessential bad MCU villain.
Darren Cross/Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll) is a corrupt businessman motivated by revenge who wants to steal Hank Pym's technology and fights the hero in a bigger version of their suit during the climax... yes, he's as cliched as villains get but believe it or not, Yellowjacket is even worse than that description suggests.
Despite being, you know, the main villain Yellowjacket is barely even in the film and when he does appear, he's nothing more than a paper-thin, paint-by-numbers bad guy who's incredibly tedious in every way. In fact, he often feels more like a corrupt suit than any sort of villain, meaning that the various acts of violence he commits all feel entirely unearned.
As well as this, wasting a brilliant character actor like Corey Stoll on such a dreadful character honestly felt insulting.
Credit where credit's due, Yellowjacket's more low-key nature was refreshing and his final fight with Ant-Man is awesome, but other than that he's simply appalling.
And unfortunately, we might not have seen the last of him either. He's rumoured to be returning in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Uh oh.
