15 Worst Months To Go To The Movies Since The Year 2000
12. April 2007
Number Of Movies Released: 19 Rotten Tomatoes Average: 41% Number of Movies Receiving Lower Than 40%: 11 Ah, April 2007. Back when Shia LaBeouf was just known as "that kid from Disney." He had his first big starring role that year with the Alfred Hitchcock "homage," Disturbia, which actually received decent reviews at the time. In fact, there were a couple of other fun movies released that month. There was Tarantino and Rodriguez's Grindhouse double feature, which was one hell of a cinematic experience for anyone who was lucky enough to see it in theaters. And we also had Edgar Wright's second film, Hot Fuzz, which had nearly universal praise from the critics. So, why is April 2007 such a poorly rated month? Eight movies released during this month had an Rotten Tomatoes score of less than 20%. No joke. This includes movies such as Are We Done Yet?, The Reaping, Perfect Stranger, The Condemned... do any of those bring bad memories? How about Kickin' It Old School starring Jamie Kennedy? Yes, that movie really existed. Another head-scratcher of a movie: Firehouse Dog. Before Josh Hutcherson became famous for starring in The Hunger Games movies, he starred in Firehouse Dog. A movie about a dog that gets adopted by a firehouse. You can't make these things up.
