15 Worst Months To Go To The Movies Since The Year 2000

11. June 2003

Number Of Movies Released: 9 Rotten Tomatoes average: 41% Number of Movies Receiving Lower Than 40%: 5 While June 2003's Rotten Tomatoes average is the same as the four previous months, the fact that it's a summer month means it gets the highest rank of them all. Seriously, the summer is supposed to be a time when Hollywood comes together to release their best blockbuster films for our entertainment. How did June of 2003 turn out so badly? This was a month that featured two of the worst movies made in recent years: Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd and From Justin To Kelly. Also, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Alex & Emma, Hollywood Homicide, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle were not very well-received by critics either. The centrepiece of June 2003, Ang Lee's Hulk, actually had a decent critical response though it performed below expectations in the box office and drew the ire of many comic book fans. Hulk was supposed to be the biggest movie of that summer... instead, that honor would go to Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean.
