15 Worst Movie Moments Of 2016

Collateral Beauty is a big sugary, syrupy, sentimental confection designed to tug at the heartstrings, and maybe nab a few Oscars nods along the way. The latter is unlikely to happen, considering the film received brutal reviews and grossed less than half its budget.

The plot sees a depressed architect writing letters to Love, Time and Death after his daughter dies, and for a laugh, the partners at his firm hire actors to play these roles to snap him out of his funk. So he spends the whole film talking to these actors and slowly overcoming his issues, until a shock twist reveals they actually are Love, Time and Death.

The movie’s sentimentality is vomit inducing and vaguely insulting at the best of times, and this rug pull is the final slap in the face.
