15 Worst Movie Performances Of 2019

As Mystique in X-Men: First Class, Jennifer Lawrence was a fantastic new addition to the franchise. The young actress was one of Hollywood's brightest new talents, and contributed greatly to the soft reboot that breathed life back into the series after Last Stand and Origins.

Eight years and four movies later however, the story couldn't be any more different. Lawrence has never exactly been quiet about her feelings toward her role in the X-Men universe, and even by Apocalypse it was clear she just didn't want any involvement any more. In Dark Phoenix, she seems to have checked out completely, turning up for her contractual obligation and nothing more.

Seemingly forcing the production to wildly cut down her time spent in the make-up chair, Lawrence mindlessly recites her lines, bringing down just about every scene she is in before Mystique is eventually killed off half way through the movie.

It's hard to tell at this point who was more relieved after her death scene. The audience, or Lawrence herself.
