15 Worst Superhero Movie Costumes Ever

11. Malekith (Thor: The Dark World)

As far as deathly dull Marvel Cinematic Universe villains go, nobody's more aggressively boring than Thor: The Dark World's Malekith the Accursed (a comatose Christopher Eccleston), and it aptly carries through to his choice of clothing.

While Guardians of the Galaxy's similarly forgettable Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) at least boasts neat body armour, creepy facepaint and a cool hammer, Malekith basically looks like every generic dark elf villain you've ever seen in an MMORPG or card game.

His attire consists of black body armour, a gold body plate, a thick wool jacket and a helmet, none of which have any personality whatsoever. It's all the more frustrating as Malekith's original design was far cooler, and surely would've left audiences a little more engaged with him.
