16 Actors Who Could Be The Breakout Stars Of 2018

It says a lot about an actor when they're plucked out of relative obscurity and cast in a $200 million blockbuster that's being produced by James freaking Cameron.

Alita: Battle Angel's critical and commercial prospects are incredibly tough to gauge right now, but prior to this, Salazar's only particularly significant parts were in TV shows American Horror Story and Parenthood, as well as supporting roles in young adult franchises Divergent and The Maze Runner.

Going from those smaller parts to the lead in one of the year's most expensive and ambitious movies is staggering.

While Alita's eyes being digitally altered to more closely resemble the manga has proven divisive with fans, if James Cameron thinks Salazar's a good actress, she's most certainly going places in the very near-future.
