8. Tye Sheridan

Tye Sheridan is another actor who enjoyed a boom period a few years ago, but somehow hasn't been catapulted to superstardom like you might expect.

Sheridan got his career off to a fantastic start by appearing in acclaimed indie dramas such as The Tree of Life, Mud and Joe, and though this led to him winning the role of young Cyclops in the X-Men franchise, he didn't really get much interesting to do in last year's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Sheridan gets another shot next year, though, playing Ready Player One's protagonist Wade Watts, as well as reprising his Cyclops role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

If Ready Player One is successful, it will bolster his potential as a big-budget lead, and though few are probably expecting stellar things from the next X-Men movie, at least the Dark Phoenix saga should give Cyclops something more dramatically intriguing to work with.
