16 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The Matrix Trilogy
12. The Architect = Colonel Sanders (Reloaded)
This joke has been running rampant ever since Reloaded first came out, and it's still as hilarious as it was back in 2003. The Architect, the "father" of the Matrix, shows up at the end of the movie to deliver a ridiculously dense, exposition-laden dialogue to Neo, but there's a good chance the first time you saw this movie, your attention was diverted by Archie's uncanny resemblance to Colonel Sanders, aka the dude on the side of your KFC bucket. Given the overwhelming seriousness of the scene and the Architect's overall importance in the plot of the second movie, Reloaded clearly wasn't focus-tested with audiences prior to release, because people would have been all over this on the comments sheet. How did the Wachowskis not see this coming!?
