16 WTF Moments From Fifty Shades Darker

3. The Random Helicopter Crash Subplot

Fifty Shades Darker Riddick Ben And Jerrys

The worst sequence in the entire movie is a laughably abrupt subplot in which Christian is randomly flying a chopper to a business meeting with his assistant also on-board. The chopper encounters trouble and crash-lands, while Ana and Christian's family crowd around a TV to hear the latest developments on the search for him.

Two minutes later, it's confirmed that he's been found alive, and about another 20 seconds later, Christian walks through the front door of his apartment, covered in dirt, like it's no big deal.

This whole subplot is over in less than five minutes and feels like pure deleted scene fodder that somehow actually made it into the movie. You could remove it and the film wouldn't suffer at all (in fact, it'd be a little shorter, so that's great).
