14. The F**king Rancor - Pineapple Express (2008)
As Pineapple Express approaches its chaotic and hilarious climax, captured pot dealer Saul (James Franco) is about to be taken down into the murky basement of a weed warehouse, though instead of asking what it is they want from him, he goes with: Whats down there? F**king Rancor? A reasonable concern for Saul under the circumstances nobody wants to go up against a giant armoured reptilian carnivore whilst stoned out of their mind and wearing pyjamas. This isn't the first time a Star Wars reference has popped up in a Seth Rogen film. His home-made gas-mask bong in 2007's Knocked Up made him look like a certain Dark Lord ("Luke, I am your stoner!") and he even played a couple of characters in 2009's Fanboys, which followed a group of friends attempting to break into George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch so that their terminally ill friend can see Episode I before he dies. What a kick in the teeth for the poor guy.
