17 Things You Didn't Know About Austin Powers

10. A Whole Lot Of Improvisation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8w95xIdH4o In all the films in the trilogy there was a heavy amount of improvisation. In International Man of Mystery many lines were improvised most noticeably Frau's line about lucky charms when referring to assassin Paddy O'Brien. In The Spy Who Shagged Me the dialogue where Basil breaks the fourth wall and tells the audience to not get caught up over-thinking time travel was completely made up on the spot. This also rings true for the scene where Austin mentions how much the English countryside does not look like Southern California. Heather Graham's reaction of "What?" was a genuine reaction to Myers unplanned comment. The line "I'm even better off them" was also improvised, the original line being "I'm even better on my back". Best of all in Goldmember Scott Evil's dance at the end of the film was completely unscripted and unexpected. Seth Green simply started messing around during a take and it was liked so much it was left in the final cut of the movie.
