The movie's final battle is the stunning forest lightsaber battle that's been shown extensively in advertising, as Kylo Ren faces off against Finn. After a protracted battle, Ren gets the better of him, violently slashing him in the back with his saber and sending him to the floor. Ren then has to fight the real hero of the story, Rey, but after a sparring session they're eventually separated as the ground cracks beneath them, with Rey and Finn being rescued by Chewie. The film ends with Finn unconscious but almost certain to wake up in Episode VIII, but given how instantly fatal a direct saber stab to the back should be, it seems pretty damn ridiculous that he wasn't killed off.
