18 Fast And Furious Easter Eggs You Never Noticed

8. Dwayne Johnson Improvised His Best Furious 6 Line

Turns out The Rock is a funny guy. He mainly played it straight during his wrestling days but, surprising everyone, one of his very first feature film roles was as a delightfully camp enforcer in Get Shorty sequel Be Cool, where he stole every scene he was in with the sort of comic timing, presence and charisma that other actors would kill for. He even manges that in the role of Hobbs from time to time. For the most part his Fast And The Furious character is all business, but he manages to get in some good jabs. In Fast & Furious 6, Hobbs shows up at the celebratory barbecue party, prompting Tyrese Gibson's Roman to quip that it's €œtime to hide the baby oil€. Hobbs didn't have a scripted response. So Dwayne Johnson improvised the line €œbetter hide that big ass forehead€, which was so good it stayed in the finished film. It also means that, when Tej spits out his drink in laughter at Hobbs's comeback, that's because Ludacris didn't realise the line was coming and couldn't contain his laughter. Jeez, is it enough to expect a little bit of professionalism from these rappers-turned-actors?
