18 Greatest Moments In Every MCU Movie (So Far) - Ranked
16. The Battle Of Harlem - The Incredible Hulk
The Film
It's no surprise that the three worst MCU films are the ones most frequently spoken about as the products of troubled shoots. In The Incredible Hulk's case, it came down to the clash between the studio and star Ed Norton, who was initially offered more creative control than the studio was willing to give him.
The conflict in Norton's vision and what the studio cut ended up being compromised the quality of the film and made it so that the stand-out elements were nothing more than sporadic flashes.
The Moment
Tim Roth's Abomination is a definite stand-out in The Incredible Hulk - both in his human form and when he mutates - and when he and Hulk eventually go at it in Harlem, sparks genuinely fly.
In contrast to Ang Lee's sober vision - and indeed what Norton wanted to do with the character - this was the full-blooded action we wanted to see and it actually set the precedent for Hulk being used as a heavyweight warrior in his other MCU appearances.
