18 Hilarious Amazon Reviews Of 2017's Oscar Movies

16. Hell Or High Water

Wahlberg Deepwater Horizon
Lionsgate

Nominated For: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, Best Original Screenplay

The general consensus of the negative reviews is that it was slow, or in one rather poetic review's words: "Sloooooower than molasses in a fur-lined jar."

A more verbose review offers a more succinct break-down:

"ZZZZ. I want my 5.99 back. Watching this movie is like watching ice melt. I could not finish this. 1 hour of my life has been wasted. Here's how it goes. Nothing happens. Attempt at soulsome country song. Nothing happens. Jeff Bridges garbles some dialogue. Everyone hates the banks. And repeat. Bridges used to be a draw for me but in the last few years he cant even speak clearly. I think it started with the TrueGrit remake where I thought he was acting but now I see he is in a permanent state of garble. This movie is unbearable."

Probably not one for Bridges' LinkedIn page.
