18 Moments That Will Ruin Home Alone For You

1. Alone Again

Poor Kevin McAllister. Having had one of the most traumatic weeks of any 8-year-old in the history of cinema, he finally gets to have the warm fuzzy moment of his family returning just in time to make his Christmas a special one. The thing is, poor Kev is then left alone literally 2 minutes after the McAllisters return. If you go back and watch the film again, Kate, Peter and the rest of the kids all shoot off and leave Kevin alone once they realise that he€™s managed to keep the fridge stocked up on milk. Clearly they were all massively bothered about seeing Kevin that they decided that making a coffee was more important than spending some time with a son who is clearly traumatised after bad parenting led to him suffering one of the scariest things that could happen to an 8-year-old. With such attentive parenting, no wonder we€™d get Home Alone 2 a mere 2 years later. Do you agree with these problems of Home Alone or do you think John Hughes' 1990 movie is a flawless piece of festive fun for all the family? Take to the comments section to make your voice heard.
