18 Most Anticipated Movies For Nerds Coming In 2021

4. The Matrix 4

No Time To Die Daniel Craig
Warner Bros. Pictures

The Matrix franchise ran from 1999-2003 and has been deemed as one of the classics ever since. Even without watching the movies, people across the world know the origin of the red or blue pill and the iconic bullet dodging scene that has been referenced time and time again in cinema history.

The trilogy is finally expecting to return 17 years after its last cinema debut, with many of the original cast coming back to reprise their roles including Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Lambert Wilson and more.

Little information has been given about the overall narrative, but it has been said that the production has come to a finish, after controversial wrap party pictures made their way out to the public last week. No trailers or promo shots are yet to appear and the filming has been kept to the smallest closed set as possible to ensure nothing is leaked.

It is also yet to be confirmed if the plot will continue straight on from the third movie using de-aging technology or see what the characters are like now.

Lana Wachowski will continue in her directorial and writer role for the next instalment and the release date is looking at 22 December 2021.
