2018 saw the release of actor and writer couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt's A Quiet Place, that received high critic acclaim for it's new take on the subgenre combination horror and science fiction. The narrative was simple: stay quiet, as a family attempted to hide from monsters who only use their sense of hearing to hunt down their victims.

The story was extremely tense, as each small noise triggered the monsters after them - although giving birth was probably not the best idea in the middle of it all!

Fans of the movie had many questions when it reached its conclusion, as the origins of the monsters were never explained. How did they get there? Where did they come from? Where did the rest of the people on Earth go?

The pair finally released the trailer for their second movie earlier this year, promising that the narrative would simultaneously follow the family immediately after the ending and the prequel events that got them there.

As cinemas began to close, Blunt and Krasinski promised fans that they would move the film until all their fans were able to watch it, settling on the new release date of April 2021.
