18 Most Terrifying Disney & Pixar Movie Moments

17. The Bear

Film: The Fox And The Hound The bear is the obvious villain in this scene with his glaring red eyes, sharp teeth and of course, the accompaniment of the intense music and the fact that he's trying to eat the protagonists of the film. His black fur is symbolic: he is an animal to be feared and the audience pick up on that more instead of recognising him as an animal who is simply looking for his next meal to stop his family dying or something. However, the scariest moment in this scene is when the bear has thrown Todd onto the tree trunk over the waterfall. The bear goes in for the kill, brandishing his paw at Todd who can only shy away from the impact and the pair fall into the water below. It is then Cooper's realisation that his best friend may have been killed that brings the tragedy home.
