13. Run All Night - Vincent D'Onofrio
Rotten Tomatoes score: 61% Liam Neeson has had a pretty decent run recently, undergoing a career metamorphosis as guy in his sixties whose daughter you most definitely do not want to kidnap and force into sexual slavery because he will find you and he will kill you. In Run All Night, Neeson remains true to form as Jimmy The Gravedigger Conlon, a former Irish mob enforcer who turns against his surrogate family when his son is targeted by his co-workers. This time, DOnofrio is on the right side of the law as Detective Harding, a man who has a professional hard-on for Conlon, following his career as a hitman and gaining an in-depth knowledge of each of his kills. Despite the misstep of turning what is originally a decent crime flick into an action movie towards the end, Run All Night is not the type of film that you will feel obligated to tell to jog on. You should see this if: you enjoy Taken and crime thrillers yet don't mind when they abruptly decide to become a stock-standard action film in the final act.
