Plot: Two hit-men go to carry out several assassinations, but events soon spiral out of control beyond anything they could've imagined.

British horror is pretty good overall and there have been several worthwhile British horror films from this decade, such as The Woman in Black, Under the Skin and A Lonely Place to Die, but Kill List, blessed with Ben Wheatley's great directing, a wonderfully dark story, strong performances and hard-hitting violence, is definitely the best British horror film of the past ten years and the finest British horror since 28 Days Later.

With this one, it is essential to go in knowing as little as possible. Kill List is as unpredictable as it gets and it's so twisty and unexpected that comparisons with a Bong Joon-ho film would be more than justified. It's an absolutely exhilarating journey into the unknown that is constantly coming up with new ways to shock and disturb viewers right up to the unforgettable ending.

This one is a slow-burn and while this might put some off, in this case there's nothing to worry about. Kill List rewards viewers' patience better than most other horror movies ever could with its phenomenal final act.
