20 2010s Horror Movies You Must See Before You Die
8. Suspiria
Plot: An American woman discovers a coven of witches in a dance academy in a divided, Cold War-era Berlin.
Suspiria (2018) is pretty much the second-greatest horror remake of all time, with only 1982's The Thing beating it out. Yes, it was fairly polarizing but it seems likely this will have a future as a cult classic and it is an absolute must-see.
Suspiria is not only one of the weirdest, most WTF horror movies of recent times (for example, instead of the title the opening card reads 'Six acts and an epilogue in a divided Berlin'), but it's, in general, a great movie. It's thematically complex, brilliantly acted, endlessly disturbing, truly haunting and directed with an almost Kubrick-like level of brilliance from Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name). It's also full of completely amazing dance sequences.
Weird and demented yet also stunningly beautiful, Suspiria is a knockout horror film and any horror fans that miss out on it are doing themselves a huge disservice.
