20 2010s Horror Movies You Must See Before You Die
4. The Cabin In The Woods
Plot: A group of students who are being attacked by a family of zombies soon discover this is no ordinary 'cabin in the woods' horror story.
Is The Cabin in the Woods the greatest horror comedy since Shaun of the Dead? Of course it is. There's no competition.
A brilliantly smart mixture of twisted shocks, gut-bursting comedy and ingenious satire, Cabin is about as inventive and sharp as genre cinema gets. It only gets better and better as it goes along and is constantly finding new ways to shock, deconstruct the horror genre and entertain the living daylights out of everyone fortunate enough to see it.
Elevated further by terrific performances (especially from Fran Kranz, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford) and remarkably confident directing from first-time director Drew Goddard, The Cabin in the Woods is one of the finest horror comedies of all time.
