20 Absolutely Insufferable Film Characters Who Didn't Deserve THAT

2007's flawed but underrated Halloween remake significantly upped the violence and gore compared to the original film, which prioritized atmosphere and was largely bloodless. There are numerous tough death scenes, but writer-director Rob Zombie got the most unpleasant death out of the way first. 

Here, a young Michael Myers beats a school bully to death with a large branch, and this long and painful death is deeply unpleasant to watch. It'll be even worse for 2000s kids as this school bully, Wesley, is played by none other than Daryl Sabara, who played Juni Cortez in the Spy Kids franchise. In an outtake, Sabara can be seen checking on a fellow child actor after accidentally pushing him too hard - that's more like the Daryl we all remember! 

As it surely goes without saying, Wesley most definitely did not deserve this. Sure, he was a nasty kid, but he was just that: a kid. Furthermore, it's implied that Wesley, just like Michael, comes from a broken home and is living with an abusive father, so, in a sad case of irony, Wesley had far more in common with his victim and eventual killer than he ever probably considered.
