20 Action Movie Sequels Since 2000 That Don't Suck

Not content with scripting Wanted, Chris Morgan took a Razzie-nominated franchise, brought back the original characters and, for extra fun, added The Rock as a federal agent who always gets his man. Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 gave audiences such a good time they should’ve been illegal, so Furious Seven had a lot to live up to, a situation exacerbated by Paul Walker’s untimely death.

If it’s showdowns you want, this sequel has them: The Rock versus Jason Statham, Paul Walker versus Tony Jaa, Michelle Rodriguez versus Ronda Rousey, Vin Diesel versus Statham….

On the action front, there’s an out-of-control car that leaps between buildings, The Rock letting rip with a gun like Ol’ Painless and a city-destroying final confrontation that wouldn’t look out of place in The Avengers.
