12. Dakota Johnson
Age: 24Nationality: AmericanMost notable role: Kate (Ben & Kate) An actress who's been waiting for a big break for a while, Dakota Johnson has had her fair share of screen time, from appearing in The Social Network and 21 Jump Street to her cameo in the final The Office episode, and her lead role in Fox's Ben & Kate. Johnson's time in the spotlight may be just around the corner though, as the Texan's just been announced as the lead role in Fifty Shades of Grey. And whilst that won't be out until 2015, 2014 will see her appear in Need for Speed and Cymbeline, a Shakespeare adaptation. If the film version of Fifty Shades creates as much buzz as the book though, Johnson could become a household name overnight.
11. Joel Kinnaman
Age: 34Nationality: Swedish-AmericanMost notable role: Holder (The Killing) A name that a lot of film fans won't have heard of, Stockholm-born Joel Kinnaman will be playing the title role in RoboCop next year - alongside Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton - which is either going to be the making of a new Hollywood star, or a flop similar to the A Team remake. But as well as RoboCop, Kinnaman is lined up for Run All Night with Liam Neeson, Night of Cups with Christian Bale and Natalie Portman, and Child 44 with Oldman and Tom Hardy. Providing he brings intelligent, multi-faceted performances to each of these roles, as he so superbly did in The Killing, Kinnaman might not even need RoboCop to be huge to be a success himself.
