20 Actors Who Almost Starred In Your Favorite Horror Movies

20. Christina Ricci - Claudia (Interview With The Vampire)

Kirsten Dunst as Claudia in Neil Jordan's Interview With The Vampire is hands-down one of the most interesting vampire characters in all of film. Imagine being a dying woman transposed into the body of a child, trapped forever in puberty but retaining all the thoughts, feelings and urges of your adult self. With the body of a 12-year-old, Claudia yearns to be a women and dresses the part but becomes filled with self-loathing as people gawk at her in the street. While Dunst did an excellent job bringing this tragic character to life, the role could have went to another actress who, more than likely, would have done an equally great job - Christina Ricci. It'd have been playing to type in a way; at the time the actress was known for playing morbid characters like Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family films. Even though it would have been interesting to see Ricci land the role, nobody can deny the heartbreak, dread and intensity that Dunst ultimately brought to the character.
