20 Actors Who Almost Starred In Your Favorite Horror Movies
19. Jane Krakowski - Judy (Sleepaway Camp)
Made at the height of the low-budget slasher film craze, Sleepaway Camp tells the story of a transgender girl named Angela who, after surviving a horrific boating accident which killed her father and twin sibling, goes crazy and kills a bunch of unsuspecting campers. The film has gone on to become quite the cult-classic over the years. What many people don't know is that Jane Krakowski (best known for her role as Jenna Maroney on NBC's 30 Rock) was actually set to star in the film. And no, she wasn't going to be playing the transgender killer. Rather, she was set to play the second most memorable character of the film - the stuck-up, vindictive, bikini-clad entity known as Judy. Krakowski was offered the role but dropped out because she felt that the character's death (which involved getting vaginally penetrated by a lit curling iron) was a bit too much. The role went to newcomer Karen Fields.
