14. Worst Sequel - Transformers: The Last Knight
For the third time in a row, Michael Bay said he was going to deliver a 'different' kind of Transformers movie. Anybody left at this point that actually believed him is not worthy of any sympathy.
Another brazen assault on the senses that sees a lot of things blow up in a blur of pyrotechnics, rapid editing and indecipherable CGI nonsense, The Last Knight at least sticks to the franchise's template pretty well.
The highlight of the whole thing comes right at the very beginning, when for some reason Stanley Tucci appears as drunk wizard Merlin and commands a robot alien dragon. After that, everything goes downhill.
It's telling that The Last Knight earned almost $500m less than predecessor Age of Extinction, and became the lowest-earning entry in the franchise by some distance. It seems audiences have finally seen sense and given up on the mind-numbing Bayhem that has gone on for at least two movies too long.
