20 Amazing Facts About All About Eve
17. The Film Inspired The Name For A 1980s English Rock Band
There was a group of English gothic rock musicians who took the name of the film for their band. Although they’re not very well known today, All About Eve enjoyed minor success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some of their songs did fairly well in the charts, including “What Kind of Fool” and “Martha’s Harbour”, the latter becoming the group’s signature song and even managing to reach the No.10 spot in the UK charts, in 1988.
Unfortunately choosing such a popular film for their band name, All About Eve are often eclipsed by the original 1950s movie.
