The half-alien Jack Hart (can you guess how he thought of his superhero name?) gets his powers not from his extraterrestrial parentage but from exposure to the zero fluid invented by his human dad. Due to being doused in this special fluid, Jack can fire concussive energy from his fingertips. On top of that, he dresses like a playing card and is a dab hand at poetry. Why he won't be in the Avengers movies: Although Jack's another character who's been around since the mid-seventies and has accumulated lots of nostalgic fans, his outfit is a little too distinctive for modern audiences to swallow. And once the costume is ditched, the name no longer makes sense. And if the name is ditched too, he's left being just this guy who can fly and zap things - which isn't all that great. Ultimately, what looks neat on the printed page doesn't always translate well to live action.
