Is there any line quite so brilliant and immortal than that of "Kneel before Zod!", one so memorably uttered by Terrence Stamp in Superman II, who embodies the eternally powerful General and Superman villain? This moment in the movie has become a sort of parody of itself all these years later, given its quotability and the inherent element of campiness it has to it that can't be denied. But the greatness of the line withstands the test of time - alas, Michael Shannon refused to touch it in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel out of genuine fear.
