Anybody who’s seen the Hunger Games movies is likely in awe of just how colourful the members of the Capitol are. They showcase huge wigs, crazy make-up, and wardrobes to put even the most flamboyant of dressers to shame.

As such, it comes as no surprise that the make-up department for the movies was enormous. 35 full-time makeup artists worked to make the actors look their stupendous selves, with over 1,800 costumes — often hand-made! — created just for the extras in the background.
