16. Stan Lee In Mallrats
Kevin Smith is one of the biggest mainstream nerds in Hollywood, so it is no surprise that he was able to get Stan Lee to appear as himself in his second feature film, pre-empting his now iconic cameos in Marvel's cinematic releases. Lee pops up in the local shopping mall to give advice to Jason Lee's Brodie, and brilliantly offers a story of "the one that got away" and how he dealt with it by creating superheroes based on how he was feeling at the time. Of course, we eventually find out that the story was made up and Stan was asked by Brodie's friend to talk to him so he could get over his break up with his girlfriend. It is then that we get to hear Lee deliver the iconic line: "You know, I think you ought to get him some help. He seems to be really hung up on super heroes' sex organs." 15. Green Day In The Simpsons Movie
Green Day should consider themselves one of the luckiest bands ever. The creators of one of the worlds greatest television shows of all time could have probably gotten any band they wanted, but ultimately decided on Green Day. And a good decision it was. The East Bay punkers open the movie performing on a barge on Lake Springfield. The shows theme song is an iconic piece of music that has remained unchanged since the shows beginning. To entrust Green Day in covering it says a lot. I personally find the gag of Billy Joe reading the "lyrics" from the teleprompter especially funny.
