Just as Skyfall was an exercise in nostalgia, the vastly under-appreciated Spectre was another trip through the ornate corridors of Bondian lore stuffed with references back to other films in the franchise. The best relates to a name. As the finale unfolds, M, Q and Moneypenny meet Bond at a safe house, which has the name Hildebrand emblazoned on the door, which is a nice call back to one of 007's less glamorous literary outings. As part of Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only, there's a short story called The Hildebrand Rarity that finds Bond on a mission to find a fish. Yep, a fish.
