20. The Grenade Pen (GoldenEye)
It may not be the most exciting of gadgets to start off with, but it ticks all the right boxes for a quintessential Bond accessory. It's small, unassuming, and downright deadly. A classic hidden weapon for Pierce Brosnan's debut in 1995, the Parker Jotter conceals a class four grenade inside. Three clicks to arm the four second fuse, and another three to disarm it. Like all good Bond gadgets, the grenade pen is central to getting 007 out of a tight spot, and thanks to it being picked up by nervous clicker Boris, it actually gives way to one of the most tense sequences in the film. Steely-faced Brosnan tries desperately to keep track of how many times the pen is clicked before finally knocking it out of Boris' hand and into a puddle of fuel. Cue big explosion.
